> Generate and read a client's Transaction Report for a financial year

## Reading the report

The report opens with the client's **Company Name**, the **Reporting Period** covered, and who it was **Prepared By**.

Below that, each section carries four columns: **Count**, **Net**, **GST**, and **Gross**.

**Trading Income** lists each income account with its code, such as Sales - GST on Income (200) and Interest Income (202), each showing how many transactions made up that total, followed by a **Total Trading Income** line.

**Direct Costs (COGS)** lists cost of goods sold accounts, such as Purchases (328), followed by a **Total Direct Costs (COGS)** line.

**Operating Expenses (OPEX)** lists the client's running costs, such as Business Insurance Premiums (330), Consulting Fees (350), Rates & Land Taxes (365), Depreciation (371), and Interest Charges (400), followed by a **Total Operating Expenses (OPEX)** line summing the Net, GST, and Gross columns across all of them.
