Open Reports
With a client selected, click Reports in the left sidebar to expand it. This reveals every report Ezyiah can generate for that client, including Business Activity Statement alongside Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, General Ledger Summary, Transaction Report, Depreciation Schedule, Taxable Payments Annual Report, and EOFY Statement.
2
Open the Business Activity Statement report
Click Business Activity Statement in the expanded Reports list. Ezyiah generates the report for the client and loads it on screen.
3
Filter by frequency and financial year
Use the Frequency selector in the top right to set how the report is broken down, and the Financial Year selector to choose which year to view. The report updates to reflect both.
4
Switch between Simple BAS and Extended BAS
Use the Simple BAS and Extended BAS toggle above the report to switch views. Simple BAS covers the core GST and PAYG figures, while Extended BAS adds further detail for a fuller lodgement.
Reading the report
The report opens with the client’s Company Name, the Reporting Period covered, and who it was Prepared By. Below that, the BAS is broken into sections matching the ATO labels your team already works with. Goods and Services Tax shows Gross Sales against label G1. GST on Sales shows the Amount you owe the tax office against label 1A. GST on Expenses shows the Amount the tax office owes you against label 1B. Pay G Tax Withheld shows Total Salary, Wages and other Payments against label W1. Each figure has an Adjust link next to it, so a value Ezyiah has calculated can be corrected before the report is finalised. This page currently covers the Goods and Services Tax, GST on Sales, GST on Expenses, and the start of Pay G Tax Withheld. The remaining PAYG labels and the Extended BAS view follow the same layout and will be added here once screenshots of the full scroll are available.
