The Loans section under a client tracks finance and lending arrangements such as equipment finance and bank loans, separately from day to day bank transactions. Adding a loan here keeps its terms, balloon payment, and unexpired interest on record against the client.
1

Open Loans

With a client selected, click Loans in the left sidebar. If no loans have been added yet, you will see a No Loans Found state. Click Add Your First Loan to open the Add Loan dialog. Once a client has at least one loan, this same dialog opens from the Add Loan button in the top right of the Loans list instead.
2

Select a loan type

In the Add Loan dialog, open the Select Loan Type dropdown and choose the type that matches the arrangement. Ezyiah currently supports Equipment Finance, Equipment Finance Long Term, Bank Loan Long Term, and Bank Loan. The dialog title updates to show the type you selected, and the form below expands to match it.
3

Enter the loan name and description

Give the loan a Loan Name your team will recognise at a glance, such as the asset it finances, and add a Loan Description with any further detail worth recording.
4

Set the commencement and end dates

Enter the Commencement Date and Loan End Date in DD/MM/YYYY format. Ezyiah calculates Loan Duration from these two dates automatically, so this field is read only.
5

Enter the loan amount and unexpired interest

Enter the Total Loan Amount and the Unexpired Interest still owing on the loan.
6

Add balloon payment details if relevant

If the loan has a lump sum due at the end of the term, select Yes under Is there a Balloon Payment?. Two additional fields appear: Balloon Payment Amount and Balloon Payment Due Date. If there is no balloon payment, leave this set to No and the form stays as is.
7

Save the loan

Click Save. The dialog closes and the loan appears as a new row in the Loans list, with its name, description, loan type, start and end dates, duration, balloon payment, unexpired interest, and total loan amount all shown across the table.
Balloon Payment, Unexpired Interest, and Total Loan Amount are shown as read only figures in the Loans list. To change them after saving, open the loan and edit its details directly.
