Preparing Your Depreciation Schedule

Once your assets are added, Ezyiah generates a full Depreciation Schedule report for any financial year. The report includes depreciation calculations, disposal details and totals ready to export.

Step 1 — Open the Depreciation Schedule Report

Click Reports in the top navigation bar. A dropdown appears with five report types. Click Depreciation Schedule.

Step 2 — Select a Year

The Depreciation Schedule screen shows all available financial years for this client. Click the card for the year you want to generate the report for.

Step 3 — Review the Report

The Depreciation Schedule report opens showing the company name, reporting period and the name of the person who prepared it.

Each asset appears as its own section with two tables:

Depreciation — shows the asset's values for the selected year:

  • Total Cost, Opening Value, Acq Cost, Acq Date, Total Value, Rate %, Type P/D, Dec in Value, Private %, Closing Value

Disposal — if the asset was disposed of during the year, a Disposal section shows:

  • Disposal Date, Consideration Received, Asset Adjustment, Deduct Adjustment, Private Deduction

A summary row below shows the total cost, opening value, acquisition cost, total value, decline in value, private use amount and closing value for the asset.

At the bottom of the report, totals show:

  • Total Assets — number of assets and total cost

  • Disposals — number of disposals

  • Total Claimed for Depreciation — the total deductible depreciation amount for the year

Step 4 — Export the Report

Click Export Report in the top right corner. Choose your preferred format:

  • PDF Document — downloads a formatted PDF ready to share with the client or file

  • Excel Report — downloads an Excel file for further review or record keeping
