Every client gets their own workspace in Ezyiah. Setting one up takes about a minute.

Step by step

1

Open the new client form

Click Add New Client. If this is your first client, the button sits in the middle of the dashboard. Once you have at least one client, it moves to the bottom left of the sidebar, where it stays available at all times.
2

Enter the business details

  • Business Name is required and appears on every report you generate for this client.
  • ABN is the client’s Australian Business Number.
  • GST registration sets how Ezyiah applies GST treatment during reconciliation.
  • Business Industry helps Ezyiah apply the right categorisation logic to this client’s transactions.
3

Select the business entity

Open the Business Entity dropdown and choose the client’s entity type: Company, Partnership, Sole Trader, Unit Trust, or Discretionary Trust. Ezyiah uses this to set up the client’s balance sheet and chart of accounts, so it is worth getting right the first time.Choosing an entity adds fields specific to that entity type. Company, for example, asks for an income tax percentage and share structure.
For the full breakdown of what each entity type asks for and how the setup differs between them, see Entity Types.
4

Save the client

Click Save to finish. Some entity types, such as Partnership and Unit Trust, take you to a second screen first to add the people or units involved before the workspace is created.
Once the client is saved, you can connect a live bank feed or upload statements to start reconciling.
